Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs visits York
Over summer, the School hosted a visit for health researchers from the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA).
The roundtable included Dr Shin, Hyunwoung, Dr Yeo, Nageum and Mr Yoo, Junghun from KIHASA, and colleagues from the Department of Health Sciences, Professor Karen Bloor, Professor Tim Doran, and Professor Neil Lunt from the School for Business and Society, to discuss developments around workforce, funding, and IT.
KIHASA
Established in 1970, KIHASA is one of the largest government-funded research bodies undertaking analysis on demography, social policy and social security systems, public health and welfare.
The School for Business and Society has a longstanding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KIHASA, which was renewed in 2022, and the MOU facilitates collaboration around research, seminars and staff mobility.
Professor Neil Lunt, Associate Dean (Internationalisation) said, "KIHASA is Korea's leading social welfare research institute and York is one of a small number of institutions who have cooperation arrangements with them."
