MBA students from CITY College, University of York Europe Campus attend Summer School
We recently welcomed the annual study trip of MBA students from CITY College, University of York Europe Campus. The executives came from a diverse range of industries, including human rights, fashion, commerce and the arts.
Visit
The visit was organised by staff in the School for Business and Society and was led by Professor Neil Lunt, Associate Dean (Internationalisation), and his team. The two groups of students, all of whom are managers and business professionals studying on a dual-degree Pan-European Executive MBA, travelled from CITY College, University of York Europe Campus in Thessaloniki Greece, and each group spent a study week based in our Church Lane Building.
Learning
The students enjoyed networking opportunities and participating in a programme of activities, which included attending the Corporate Financial Management module, taught by Professor John Ashcroft, Dr Jairaj Gupta and Dr Agnieszka Trzeciakiewicz, and a one-day Negotiations Skills seminar led by Dr Tom Hutcheson, Associate of the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Alongside joint classes, a number of social events were organised, and the students were thrilled to take part in a ghost walk in York City centre and enjoyed a visit to a local Yorkshire brewery.
The trip culminated in a visit from the Reverend Councillor Chris Cullwick, the Lord Mayor of York, and Mrs Joy Cullwick, the Lady Mayoress, who hosted a welcome lunch for the students in the Church Lane Building.

The School is delighted the students found it a productive learning experience and enjoyed their stay in York. We look forward to seeing the next group of students in 2024!
