The Covid Realities project is being led by Dr Ruth Patrick in partnership with colleagues from York, the University of Birmingham and the Child Poverty Action Group.
The project team are inviting parents and carers from across the UK with children under 19 and living on a low income, to join a safe, online space where they can share and document the everyday realities of their lives during the Coronavirus pandemic. Parents and carers will be able to share their experiences in an online diary, take part in online activities, and participate in virtual workshops. Participants will be able to do as little or as much as they like and they will be completely anonymous.
Findings from the 18-month project, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, will provide the research team with the evidence to seek to influence the evolving social security policy response and develop recommendations for policy change.
