Abstract
What drove a successful Big 4 executive going through the partnership process to say farewell to a thriving consulting career at the pinnacle of success, go back to pursue a third Masters degree in Psychology, decline PhD offers from prestigious universities in England and Australia to incorporate a HealthTech startup? A strong belief backed by experience in the power of ethical entrepreneurship to answer questions that are considered too ambitious by most and too difficult to address by others.
The pandemic forced Jyoti to re-evaluate her true calling while leading a strategic pandemic response initiative, Project Incredible for the EMEIA board at Ernst & Young (EY) working with 80+ countries to resolve the COVID crisis. An economy recuperating from the pandemic which had widened the health inequalities for females was the investment climate when TaraCares was born.
In this talk, Jyoti discusses why the insurmountable public health challenge of menopause affects the total health of the society with females being the prime victim of centuries of dismissal by families, societies, governments and healthcare systems – the very structures that must safeguard female health for its continued survival.
She discusses how ethical entrepreneurship is driving taraher startup at strategic and tactical levels ranging from data privacy by design, data diversity for their AI models to innovative business models that achieve affordability for the lowest common denominator contributing to the levelling up agenda in York.
TaraCares is pioneering Menopause Health Science to address 3 key challenges of menopause transition – Misinformation, Misdiagnosis and Mismanagement. We will learn the implications of these challenges in real life, and the scale and severity of this undertaking.
