Dorothy Waugh has been appointed as the Borthwick Institute’s new digital preservation archivist. She comes to us from Emory University in Atlanta (USA) where she was digital archivist, responsible for the management of born-digital collections at the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Books Library.
As digital preservation archivist at the University of York, Dorothy’s work supports continued development of the university’s digital preservation programme and long-term access to the Borthwick’s digital holdings.
Dorothy’s arrival at the University of York marks a return to the UK after 12 years in the US, and she is excited to explore York and drink lots of tea.
