Transcript

That the said Ann the plaintiffe in this Cause was and is the Daughter of one Francis Megson and in or about the month of Aprill 1709 she the said Ann did contract matrimony with one Thomas Clark, and he the said Thomas and she the said Ann were married together by A person in holy Orders according to the forme prescribed in the book of Common prayer and they did consumate such marriage by carnal copulation, and lived together as man and wife until June or July after.

That Thomas Clark (husband to the said Ann) was at the time of his said marriage A soldier in her Majesties service as still he is And she the said Ann did go along with her said husband from place to place in this Kingdome as he was remanded and ordered And they lived together as husband and wife, till he the said Thomas Clark was commanded to goe beyond the seas which happened in or about the moneth of July last past where he still remaind, And they the said Thomas and Ann were well known amongst the Officers and soldiers to be husband and wife.
