I am Keeper of Archives and Special Collections here at the Borthwick, which means I have strategic oversight and leadership over our operations here. I also have special responsibility for our medieval collections, as well as looking after our access responsibilities.
I’ve quite an association with the University already, as I spent a happy time here as an undergraduate in History between 2001-2004.
It's actually my second time here at the Borthwick, as I was Archives Trainee 2004-2005, during the period of the move from old Borthwick in St. Anthony’s Hall to the new site here.
I qualified as an Archivist in 2006 and went on to be Archivist at West Yorkshire Archive Service until 2012, when I became their E Services and Offsite Services Co-ordinator. I’ve been involved in lots of projects - digitisation, social media, web development, research services and lots more.
If you’ve got a great idea about how to use our collections and you think we might be able to help, just get in touch.
