The logo was designed by our first Director, Canon John S. Purvis, and it was derived from one of the bosses (a 19th century boss by John Wolstenholme) in the roof of St Anthony's Hall.
In medieval times, St Anthony came to be seen as a healer of people and animals and he was particularly associated with pigs. This is 'St Anthony's pig'.
Although we are no longer at St Anthony's Hall, we have retained continuity through our logo, though we have recently slightly tweaked the design.
