The Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Group (BiTEG) 22nd annual meeting was hosted by the University of Leeds as an online event on Thursday 17 December 2020.
The plenary speaker was Abhay Pandit, Professor in Biomaterials and Scientific Director of a Science Foundation Ireland funded Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM) at the National University of Ireland, Galway: "Redefining Identity of Disease, Tissues and Cells – a Biomaterials Paradigm".
This year's meeting was attended by over 60 participants and HYMS PhD student Deborah Morgante from Prof Jenny Southgate’s group won the podium presentation prize for "Onlay grafts of acellular matrix to augment the peri-urethral tissue bed for hypospadias repair".
BiTEG was originally established as a collaboration between the White Rose Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, but has now grown to include researchers across the region.
