Dr Andrew Mason begins lectureship in bioinformatics

His work could refine the way cancer is treated in the future.

Current Jack Birch Unit PDRA Dr Andrew Mason, successfully interviewed for the York Against Cancer 30th Anniversary Fellowship and Lectureship in Cancer Informatics; a position which begins in November 2019.

During the initial 3-year research fellowship Andrew will pursue his interests in cancer functional genomics and transcriptomics, aiming to better characterise tumour subgroups leading to more personalised therapies. In January 2019 That's TV York visited the JBU to find out more.
