Training

  • All users of work equipment must be adequately trained to ensure safe use. This includes provision of clear information on any hazards associated with use of the equipment, as well as instruction on necessary measures (e.g. use of guarding, use of personal protective equipment) to manage the risks.
  • Where considered necessary (especially where specialist knowledge for safe use is required), clear written instructions on safe use of equipment must be provided.
  • Training must be recorded for all work equipment capable of causing significant harm or injury / where specialist knowledge for safe use is required.
