Department of Biology
Gradshare is a PhD event that is run by students within York Biology department. It aims to bring together PhD students from across the department and years of study to learn more about the Academics and their careers.
The monthly event takes place at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, where an Academic talks about what inspired them to follow an academic career and decisions they made along the way. The talk lasts around 30 minutes, but the speaker usually stays around after to chat more informally. The best bit is, once the talk is over we all enjoy drinks, nibbles, beer and pizza!
It is a great opportunity to learn about Academia, network and have fun!
