Speaker(s): Professor Matthew Higgins, Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford
Matthew will discuss how structural studies of host-parasite interactions in malaria have provided insight into erythrocyte invasion and accumulation of infected-erythrocytes within human tissues. He will also show how structural analysis of human antibody responses to vaccination is revealing novel mechanisms of antibody-mediated inhibition and is guiding rational vaccine development.
