Alternatives to safety glasses

  • It should be recognised that there is no seal around safety specs. In the event of a large amount of liquid splashing onto your forehead, this could run down into your eyes. In this situation, other eye protection must be considered e.g.  goggles and face shields.

  • Fumehood sashes offer an excellent form of protection, avoiding the need for safety glasses etc.  If used, remember to keep these shut as low as is practical.
