What techniques do not constitute genetic modification?
The following techniques are not considered to result in genetic modification provided that they do not involve the use of genetically modified organisms made by the techniques listed above or the use of recombinant nucleic acid molecules, namely:
- in vitro fertilisation
- natural processes including conjugation, transduction and transformation
- polyploidy induction
