On Friday 21 June 2013, as part of the University of York Alumni Homecoming Weekend and the celebrations around the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the University, the Department of Biology held an Alumni Colloquium. The day featured a series of talks from our prestigious alumni given to an audience of students, current/retired staff, and alumni. Talk sessions were chaired by past Heads of Department. The day finished with a drinks reception and recollections. This event also saw the launch of "A History of the first fifty years of Biology at York" edited by Mark Williamson and David White.
