Event details

Kate Molleson is a journalist and broadcaster – familiar to listeners of BBC Radio 3 as the host of Music Matters, Composer of the Week, and the New Music Show. Previously a writer for The Guardian and The Herald, and many other outlets, she studied clarinet performance at McGill University and musicology at King's College London.  Her 2022 book on Classical music's outliers, Sound Within Sound, has been praised for its 'enthusiastic style and eye for character' as well as, crucially, 'encouraging us to dig deeper and keep listening' and recently became the basis for a multi-day festival at London's South Bank Centre.  This conversation with one of our leading journalists and commentators on music promises to be lively and ear-opening!
