Sports Commentary in the Digital Era: Analysing Sports Commentaries on live Streaming Platforms, Live-Text Websites, and by Artificial Intelligence
My thesis is focusing on analysing the features of sports commentary in the digital era across three platforms and/or technologies: video streaming; live blogging; and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Sports commentary plays a vital role in the communications between the broadcaster and the audience. Observations of sports commentary on different platforms and/or technologies in the era of digital media may therefore help us further understand the characteristics of digital media content of sports, and clarify the updating of sports broadcasting culture and communication in the era of digital media.
My research interests focus on sports communication in the era of digital media and culture.
