Event details

A witty and heartbreaking monologue about Alice, as she returns home on the hottest day of the year to say a difficult and untimely goodbye. One that will leave a hole in her life forever. Set against the backdrop of the hottest day of the summer and climate protests, she returns home to be with her family in this difficult time.

The Same Rain That Falls on Me deals with issues of grief, climate change, growing up, and family.
Written by Logan Jones, directed by Jay Seldon and performed by Ella McKeown.
Ricochet Theatre are an award-winning new writing theatre company set up by former University of York students. They make meticulously crafted text-based work sometimes through a devising process, but most often by working closely with writers and staging their scripts.
Ella McKeown is a neurodiverse theatre director and facilitator from London with a particular interest in puppetry, music and impossible stage directions. She is the artistic director of Ricochet Theatre.
