The second year Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance cohort present an evening of performances exploring the theme of ‘Strikes’. From Ancient Rome to France in 1968 to a modern day classroom, these three short pieces examine the impact strikes have had through the ages.

Plebs on a Hill: In the newly formed Roman Republic the undervalued Plebian class of Rome take a stand against their oppressors…by standing on a hill.

Glue: Teachers are striking and everyone’s got a day off because of it. Except for five students, who are stuck in a classroom. Alone. With unfettered access to their teacher’s computer.

Au Guillotine!: 1968. The city of love…and strikes?! The Colbert Household attends to an uninvited guest. What will they do?
