CMRC Seminar - Morag Galloway: Modelling my Practice Research Praxis: how embodied improvisatory researching supports performative creative practice.
Event details
Morag will be talking about, and modelling, her braided practice research process. This will be shown through discussion of recent projects which show the close links between embodied performance practice, autoethnographic themes, improvisatory compositional methods, and iterative creative processes. This session will explore how research and practice rely on each other when creating authentic works of live music theatre. Morag will be using her work in progress, Dog Daze, to illustrate her process and will discuss its recent inclusion in academic and public settings. The session will include a moment of 'live embodied research' demonstrating Morag's creative method.
