Marco joined the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) as a Digital Archive Assistant in 2023. After completing a PhD in Computational Linguistics (University of Leeds, 2014), he worked for a few years as web content creator and Italian linguist. He then entered the archive sector in 2019 by joining the Bridging the Digital Gap programme by The National Archives, and had the chance to work with a variety of organisations in this field – namely Special Collections & Galleries at the University of Leeds, Northern Ballet, West Yorkshire Archive Service and Coram. Alongside a strong interest in digitisation and digital preservation, outside of work Marco also enjoys 3D modelling and game development.
