Biography

Anett joined the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) in February 2025 on secondment from the Stockholm Environment Institute where she has previously supported the administration for two years. Anett supports the day-to-day administration and financial operations of the ADS, managing records, raising purchase orders and invoices and works alongside Lydia Mayfield.

Since moving to the UK in 2013, she has developed her administrative expertise while staying connected to heritage, earning a Certificate of Higher Education in Archaeology from the University of York. Anett also holds a degree in Tourism Management with focus on Cultural Heritage and has worked in various roles in the heritage sector, including as a tour guide at the Royal Palace of Gödöllő in Hungary and as part of the visitor experience team at York Minster.

Contributing her time to projects like the Lindisfarne and Lincoln Bypass Projects and her studies in Archaeology at the University of York have deepened her commitment to heritage preservation. Anett strongly believes that history shapes our understanding of the present and that a passion for the past can inspire better stewardship of cultural and natural heritage.
