MA student Felix Charteris wins prestigious conservation prize
Felix Charteris awarded IHBC’s Gus Astley Student Award.
Felix Charteris (MA Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings) 2018-19) has won the prestigious IHBC Gus Astley Student Award for 2020. The award, granted by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, was given for Felix's dissertation, 'Retrofitting Democracy: The politics, perception and strategy behind the ‘Restoration and Renewal’ of the Palace of Westminster'. This work examined the theoretical and legislative frameworks for the restoration of the House of Parliament in London.
