Professor Nicky Milner becomes head of the Archaeology Department

Archaeology has a new Head of Department.

Professor Nicky Milner has taken over the role from January 2019, after the department's six successful years under Professor John Schofield.

Nicky's research focuses on the Mesolithic period and the Mesolithic-Neolithic transition. She ran the POSTGLACIAL project, which resulted in a number of high-profile publications relating to the Mesolithic site of Star Carr.

The Department looks forward to Nicky's tenure as HoD with great excitement, and wishes her all the best for a successful term!
