The Department of Archaeology has placed 10th in the latest Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
Rising two places from last year, the department has made its mark as one of the best places to study Archaeology in the UK, reflecting our reputation for teaching and research excellence and dedication to the student experience.
The league table is derived from official data from the Research Excellence Framework 2014, the Higher Education Statistics Agency and this year’s National Student Survey, and also takes into account factors such as graduate prospects and social inclusion.
Archaeology is one of nine departments at York to achieve top ten status.
