Archaeology Welcomes Dr Jim Leary!

New Lecturer in Field Archaeology appointed to the Department
It gives us great pleasure to announce the appointment of Jim Leary as our new Lecturer in Field Archaeology.
Jim's research spans Neolithic and early Bronze Age monuments the social impact of prehistoric sea-level rise, and mobility in the past. He has carried out major projects in Wiltshire and is currently working at Skipsea in East Yorkshire. He is the author of The Story of Silbury Hill and The Remembered Land: Surviving Sea-Level Rise After the Last Ice Age.
Leary states: "I am delighted to be joining the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. A privilege, an honour and and an almighty adventure."
