Join us for an afternoon of community tree maintenance at the University of York's Campus East! 🌳🌿

Being out in nature is known to improve our wellbeing as well as having a positive impact on our local environment. With this in mind, our Alumni Sustainability Network is running its first Wellbeing Action Day on Campus East. Get your hands dirty and make a positive impact on our environment and your wellbeing! Our first event aims to bring together students, staff, alumni and local residents to care for the trees and wildlife on our beautiful campus.

During the event, we will be removing plastic tree guards, ensuring they don't pollute the natural environment and harm wildlife. You will also have the opportunity to learn about how biodiversity is promoted across campus from Gordon Eastham BEM, the University's Grounds & Ecology Manager.

No experience is necessary as all equipment and guidance will be supplied. Please wear strong footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing. Some snacks will be provided but you will need to bring any other refreshments you would like. It's a fantastic chance to meet new people, enjoy fresh air, and contribute to the sustainability of our campus.
