On the Day
The meeting point will be Place de la Bataille de Stalingrad, in the 19th arr. of Paris (closest metros Jaurès or Stalingrad - lines 5 or 7) at 2pm (CEST). We will then divide into smaller groups and walk North-East along the canal (Bassin de La Villette) and end up inside the Parc de la Villette. The cleanup will last approximately 2 hours + 1 hour to sort, record and weigh the recovered rubbish.
Please note that we will be sorting the waste as we go along, into the following main categories: plastic bottles, caps and food wrappers, cans, cardboard and paper, glass and cigarette butts.
After the cleanup, we will meet for refreshments and light snacks at an open-air restaurant located inside the park, called “A la Folie”. In the park you will have access to toilets and running water + soap to wash your hands after the cleanup.
