What is Rewards Extra?

Rewards Extra Rewards Extra is the employee benefits platform available to all UoY employees. It includes savings on things such as childcare, transport, health cover as well as salary linked savings and loans. Staff can also purchase discounted vouchers with hundreds of retailers. Members of the HR Reward Team will be on hand to answer your questions, along with some of our insured benefit providers.

All colleagues who attend the drop-in session will be invited to enter a prize draw to win a £50 Love2Shop voucher.

What does Annual Renewal mean?

Every year, our 5 insured benefit schemes (Dental Insurance, Private Medical Insurance, Critical Illness cover, Health Assessments and Health Cash Plan) go through a process called Annual Renewal. This is when we broker for new policy rates for the coming benefit year, and work to get the best benefits at the best price for our staff.

September is called the Annual Renewal Window, and it's the opportunity for staff to review their existing cover in light of the new rates, or take up new selections. Some of our insured benefits can only be selected during September because of their in-year selection rules, so we encourage staff to take this opportunity to review what's on offer.
