Following our first successful talent pool recruitment campaign, we are about to advertise again. However, this time we want to offer a simple, straightforward way for our internal grade 4 colleagues to express an interest in other grade 4 roles at the University.

How did the first talent pool campaign go?

In April we started our first recruitment campaign to proactively recruit Grade 4 Administrators that could be matched to upcoming roles (View the dedicated microsite). The advertisement was a great success - attracting over 100 external applicants. All of the successful candidates were matched to roles and offered a post. It has been great to welcome our new colleagues!

What's happening next?

We now want to offer this streamlined approach to current grade 4 colleagues by giving them opportunity to express their interest in upcoming opportunities recruited to via the talent pool. Getting experience in different departments or functions is a great way to build your skills and learn more about how the wider University works. We will also launch a new external campaign from early August.

We will continue to learn and adapt as we run these early campaigns. If the approach continues to be positive for departments and for applicants we will make this the primary method of recruitment for most grade 4 roles and explore rolling out talent pool recruitment at other grades.
