Senior Lecturer role

Staff at Grade 8 require considerable experience and an established reputation. You will be expected to display initiative and leadership.

In addition to the requirements at Grade 7, you will:

Teaching and the promotion of learning

• Teach to a range of audiences on a range of programmes

Management and support responsibilities

• Provide help and support to a high standard to students and staff
• Significant involvement in the management and leadership of teaching roles
• Act as an external examiner or reviewer of provision in other HE institutions

Involvement in scholarship and development

• Be involved in and informed about scholarship of teaching, including current thinking and research on teaching methods
• Develop and apply innovative teaching methods and material
• Publication and dissemination of scholarly work

For staff involved in professional education and training

• Maintain professional qualifications and registration
• Engage positively with external stakeholders
• Scholarship activities that support teaching on professional programmes
