Lecturer role

Additionally, staff at Grade 7 are expected to demonstrate substantial and successful activities in the following areas:

Teaching and the promotion of learning

  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations contributing directly to university level qualification

Administrative and support responsibilities

  • Provide independent and effective help and support to students
  • Contribute to planning and course design across a range of modules and to the administration and management of teaching programmes

Involvement in scholarship and development

  • Disseminate results of scholarly work
  • Assist in securing funding for teaching and scholarship

For staff involved in professional education and training

  • Achievement of relevant professional qualifications and registration
