Event details

What happens when personal stories meet the climate crisis? They spark connection, challenge perspectives, and inspire action.

Join us for Beyond Borders: York Climate Narratives, a unique evening where voices from the frontlines of climate change take center stage. People from the global majority will be sharing their lived experiences with climate change, ecological shifts, and resilience for the first time, courageously bringing their stories to the forefront.

The event is organised by YorkCliConnect and will take place downstairs at The Den @ The Micklegate Social. Doors open at 6,45pm and performances will begin promptly at 7pm.

Please note there are stairs down to the venue. Please let us know if you have access needs and we will try and accommodate them.

We would like to thank Micklegate Social for providing us the venue free of charge. We’d love for you to show them your appreciation (and ours) by grabbing a drink and joining us for a reflective and inspiring evening.

A huge thank you to Catherine Heinemeyer, Natalie Quatermass, students of the Politically Engaged Practice module at York St John’s, Lynda Dunlop, and Sophie Webb for their invaluable contributions in bringing this event to life.
