Programme of study
PhD in Language and Communication
Tell us a bit about your background
Originally from Argentina, I came to the UK when I was 8. Since then, I’ve lived in London, York, Newcastle and Paris.
Why did you want to get involved with the Student Expert Panel?
I’m often thinking about how I can bring positive change to the communities I’m part of. I love the idea of the Student Expert Panel because it really takes a “bottom up” approach that is crucial for change. I hope to bring in voices of those of us who live outside the city of York, but also to hear others’ voices to create a better UoY.
What are you involved with at York, and what are you interested in outside of your studies?
I am the co-editor of the York Paper in Linguistics. I co-ordinate weekly meet-up sessions with my research group, and I’ve also started a reading group this year.
In my free time I also really enjoy gardening, hiking and cooking.
