Tell us a bit about your background
I’m from a little village in North Wales and I’m a first gen uni student.
Why did you want to get involved with the Student Expert Panel?
I felt like I wasn’t giving anything during my time at university and wanted to do something that benefitted, not just me, but the wider student and public communities.
What are you involved with at York, and what are you interested in outside of your studies?
At York I was in the winning team of the York Leaders project – a project around sustaining mental health before deterioration and managed to have open conversations with many senior officials within the university to ensure the agenda was at the front of their minds.
Academically I am currently on placement with one of the top 6 accountancy firms, working in corporate tax.
