Senate members

Senate is the academic governing body of the University.

It is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor.

Other members are the Pro-Vice-Chancellors, nominated heads of academic departments and schools, elected academic staff and student representatives.

The makeup of membership is periodically reviewed by Senate itself, factoring in gender balance and wider equality, diversity and inclusion considerations.

Not more than three undergraduates elected from among themselves by all registered students of the University
