Trans awareness staff training sessions
We offer regular awareness raising sessions for staff and postgraduates who teach on the subject of Trans issues and identities.
These sessions are delivered online by the charity Gendered Intelligence and introduce individuals to the key concepts crucial to understanding members of our trans community, terminology and relevant legislation.

Effectiveness of the training
We've been providing this training since October 2021, and continue to gather feedback in order to rate the effectiveness of the training.
The sessions have received an average overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 from attendees (in response to the question: ‘How would you rate the session overall?’).
Attendees were asked about their awareness of trans people and issues before attending the sessions, and gave an average score of 2.8 out of 5. Asked how the training had increased their awareness, they gave an average score of 4 out of 5.
