All gender toilets

We have designated all gender toilet facilities on campus. These can also be known as Gender Neutral toilets but following a consultation with staff and students, the University decided to name these facilities 'All Gender toilets'. Single gender facilities will also be available across campus for those who prefer them.

These facilities do not have gendered signage and do not require the person using them to define as a particular gender. Some of the All Gender toilets also provide additional facilities, for example, baby changing and showers.

Sanitary bins are provided in the All Gender toilets on campus.

All gender changing facilities

The Sports Village on Campus East has an all gender changing facility called the Changing Village. This is predominantly for people using the swimming pool and has lockable changing cubicles throughout. There is also an outdoor accessible room which has space to change and a shower that can be booked via the Sports Village reception.

At the Sports Centre on Campus West there are two all gender toilets/changing/shower facilities attached to the athletics spectator stand, which is a short walk from the main building.
