Ringing in success: YuCall raises over £136,000 to support students and mental health

From February 13th to March 21st, 2024, a dedicated team of student callers engaged in heartfelt conversations with alumni and friends of the university and raised an impressive £136,071.88

Throughout the six weeks of calling and 18 calling shifts, the dedicated team of student callers facilitated a remarkable 1150 conversations.

A total of 169 donors contributed to the campaign, highlighting the generosity of the University of York community, and the funds raised will have a profound impact on the university's various philanthropic initiatives.

The generous contributions will be allocated towards several vital causes: providing support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds as part of our York Opportunity Scholarships and York Futures Scholarship, enabling asylum seeking students to access a York education with our Equal Access Scholarship, offering financial support for student societies via YuFund, and helping transform mental health in York and beyond.
