Script advisor role on BBC drama for Sara

Academia isn’t the only place where there are opportunities for academics.

Recently, Professor Sara de Jong was asked to be a script adviser for a new BBC Radio 4 drama programme called Bat Girls. Sara's contribution was mainly focussed on the script for Episode 3 (which will broadcast on the 1st of May 2024)

Episode 3 follows an Afghan refugee girl whose father was an interpreter for the British Army. Sara advised on corrections to the script to make it culturally and legally plausible and in line with the UK asylum procedure, resettlement schemes and Afghan culture.
