The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) specialises in evidence synthesis, assembling and evaluating data from multiple research studies to generate robust evidence to inform health policy and practice.
We undertake high-quality systematic reviews and associated economic evaluations, develop underpinning methods, and promote and facilitate the use of research evidence in decision-making.
Over the past 20 years, we have completed over 200 systematic reviews covering a wide range of health care topics, many of which have had a direct impact on national policy.

We're recruiting!
Research Fellow in Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis
- Application deadline: 8 November 2024
Research strengths
Determining which treatments and interventions are most effective is essential for service users, practitioners and policymakers.
Individual research studies are rarely sufficient to justify the use of new interventions. To make fair judgements, decisions should be informed by all relevant research evidence, including studies with findings both in favour and against the intervention under consideration.
To avoid bias our approach and methods are clearly set out in advance to provide the most reliable evidence about the effects of tests, treatments and other interventions used in health, public health and social care.
Resources and support
We offer training, guidance and other resources which can benefit health practitioners, decision-makers and researchers.
