Profile

Biography

Hannah joined Yorks Trial Unit in April 2024 and works as a Research Fellow on the Response Study, a multidisciplinary NIHR-funded project investigating the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
 
Hannah is a sociologist, and her PhD (completed in 2023) explored the interaction between voluntary first aid organisations and other healthcare organisational structures within the ‘ecology of care’.

Her PhD, Master’s and BA Hons degree were all completed at Lancaster University.

Research

Overview

Hannah’s research interests include patient safety, healthcare policy, healthcare organisational studies, first aid and Science and Technology Studies. 

Hannah is a qualitative researcher and has experience of successfully collaborating with national healthcare providers including the British Red Cross.
