Peer support groups
For staff and students
- Distractibles - an informal support group for staff and students who find it hard to focus and juggle demands
- Read&Write - monthly meet-ups to learn from other users of the tool that helps with reading, writing and listening to text on screen
For students
- Spectrum - an open group and safe space for students who consider themselves to be on the autistic spectrum
- Disabled Students' Network - a peer support and social network run by YUSU
- Disabled Students' Officer - a part-time officer of the GSA to work on issues that affect disabled postgraduates
- Student communities - tailored support and events for different groups, including disabled students and carers
For staff
- INCLUDE - for staff with a disability, long-term condition or interest in becoming more disability confident
- Dyslexia - peer support for staff to share challenges and experiences with other dyslexics at monthly meet-ups
- Staff Autism Space - a Slack channel for anyone connected to Autism to connect, discuss and share
